It was very convenient having a grounded and grounded connection in one adapter. That let me plug a laptop and iPhone into a single power point. The only problem, at least in South Australia, was that the wall receptacle orientation required the adapter to be oriented with the non-grounded connection point on top. Plugging a typical transformer (like for your mobile phone) into the top put a lot of torque on the adapter and tended to pull it away from the wall, causing it to sometimes fall out of the wall receptacle or to stay mounted but lose electrical contact. Preferably the flat metal blades that go into the receptacle need to fit tighter, or perhaps the ungrounded connection point should be put on the bottom?
I have Type I (Australia/New Zealand/China). It works great most of the time, but sometimes I run into sockets where the plug holes are in a circular recessed area designed to fit round local plugs. Because the adapter is square, it doesn't fit into the depression.
Product is compact and easy to use. Won't be going to Australia until December, so will not get an opportunity to try it until then, but expecting it to work just fine!
A nice triple pack of outlet adapters at a great price. Worked as expected in China. Would purchase again as needed.
Was not power enough
