These are the most solid US/UK adaptors on the market and will last well beyond what you intent to plug into them. Most adaptors skimp on the ground/earthing terminal, but this one could carry the fault current of the entire ring main without melting down. The fact that it has been tested by a third party like ETL is also reassuring as is the fuse. If you are in a situation where you need to plug a 3- wire North American plug into a UK socket, look no further than this adaptor. The company name is also brilliant.
We spent two weeks in Hungary and Austria, and the Ceptics plug adapter worked perfectly. It is built tough without silly gadgetry. It's just a simple and solid adapter. Use it and the plugs which came with your cell phones and other devices. We did NOT attempt to use it with heating devices. The Ceptics adapter will not break. For certainty when travelling to mainland Europe, take one of these
This is a well constructed product. However, I was unable to use it in Denmark as expected because the sockets in our modern hotel in Copenhagen would not accept the grounding pin. It transpires that type K is not enforced in the local codes. Using the two-pin European standard would be a better travel choice. These will fit the type K sockets without using the grounding circuit.
