It was a good thing we did because each of our hotels used ...

We purchased these for our trip to Italy (Venice and Florence). We weren't sure if we needed the Type L or Type C, so we ordered one of both. It was a good thing we did because each of our hotels used a different adapter. These worked fine, and were a good value for the price.

Got this for my trip to Europe.

Works great on most of the wall outlets.3 pieces for this price is a bargain.On some outlets, it's probably just old outlet. Some would not even fit (same **** layout, simply doesn't go in)Some would be hard to plug in, and some would be too loose and falls off.Some plugs in, but doesn't make any contact.These I assume isn't because of this adapter. Just simply things you have to deal with on travel I guess.My only other complain is that it's still a bit too long.Doesn't fit into all the space you try to plug into.

Good, but bulky, adapters, specifically made for Italian grounded plugs

This is exactly what you need for Italian grounded plugs. They do not work in Austria or Germany - the third pin hole in outlets in those countries is already filled-in. The multipack is a good value for the money. The only downside is that the plugs themselves are quite large, and carrying more than one takes up a great deal of space in luggage.

It works great, but...

Heads up: I purchased some Type L (Italy) and some Type G (UK) adapters. Let's just start off by saying this is not a bad product at all. It does its job perfectly, and (decently, sometimes it hard to put in or get out) fit. It was able to charge my phone perfectly normal. However, there is a catch to this. Outlets in Europe have a voltage of 220 - 240v. I found this out the hard way. If you plan on using any U.S. appliances (110v power), you are out of luck. Your appliances will be instantly fried forever. In order to avoid this, you must purchase a converter/transformer in addition to the adapters. It does not say this anywhere in the product description. So in conclusion, this will work with universal devices (basically anything with USB charging). IT WILL NOT WORK WITH U.S. APPLIANCES. Other than the minor inconvenience of not being able to use a noise machine or fan, we were able to charge our phones just fine, which is most important.

I gave this product a 4 star review only because ...

I gave this product a 4 star review only because it didn't appear to be of the highest quality. That may not be the fairest reduction of a star but there it is. However, this product fit my needs perfectly. We traveled to Rome and Sorrento. This adapter worked perfectly in both locations and will likely work in the rest of Italy. I saw other reviews that may have caused confusion so here is the bottom line....when traveling to Rome and Sorrento this adapter will work!!! I did notice that the receptacles in both locations appeared to accept two and three prong adapters as well, however, someone else will have to clear that up. THIS ADAPTER WILL WORK IN ROME AND SORRENTO!!!!!!!!
