The Ceptics CT-9C European Type C plug adapter can be used in the following places: EUROPE (Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine) SOUTH AMERICA (Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Peru) ASIA (Thailand, Indonesia). Most countries in AFRICA (But NOT in: Ghana, Kenya, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania). (Zambia use Type C, Type D and Type G plug). The European Type C plug adapter is also not compatible in the UK. The CT-9C features 2 inputs: Standard US Grounded NEMA 5-15 and ungrounded 2-prong US. Both ports will accept the polarized or non-polarized plugs. These European compact power adapters do not convert voltage. Please check the voltage standard for the travel destination and use an appropriate voltage converter with the adapter if needed (for example, Europe uses mainly 230 Volts). Many electrical devices such as AC/DC chargers for Laptops, cameras, cell phones, iPhone, iPad etc. allow a multi range voltage (100-240 Volts) and eliminate the need of a voltage converter. Sometimes electrical device have a switch for either 120 or 230 Volts (remember to set back!). Please check the specifications on your equipment. Powering a 120 Volts device with 230 Volts can destroy the equipment and cause fire.
